Buhari Sacks Babachir, Boss Mustapha Named New SGF

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally sacked the Babachir David Lawal from his position as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Mr Boss Gida Mustapha has been named as his replacement.
Mr. Boss Gida Mustapha, until this appointment was the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA). He is a graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and went on to obtain his B.L from the Nigeria Law School, Lagos.

Mr Boss Mustapha is a Christain and hails from Adamawa State like the previous SGF. He is a Seasoned Lawyer with a vast experience in both the private and public sector.

He has held several positions, one of them being a member of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the defunct Petroleum (Special) Trust Fund (PTF) between 2000 to 2007. He was also the Deputy National Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
