This was made known after an indoor meeting of the party presided over by the party chairman, Mr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi at the party secretariat, Abakaliki.
The publicity secretary of the party, Mr. Bethran Okulegu while briefing Journalists on the development said the suspension was in line with the constitutional provisions of the party, section 57 sub-sections 1 and 3.
Mr. Okulegu further disclosed that the party was also acting in accordance with Governor David Nweze Umahi’s directive, maintained that a seven man committee has been constituted to investigate the matter so as to come up with a dependable decision.
According to the release, the party has consequently constituted a seven man disciplinary committee to investigate the matter.
The Committee is to be headed by Dr Dennis Ekuma Nkama while other members include Professor John Eke, Mr. Elias Igwe, Dr. Mrs. Nora Alo, Mr. Chike Ogiji, Mr. Onu Nwonye and Mr. Sunday Ogodo.
The Committee
is to be inaugurated today, June 1, 2016, by 10 am.
The suspended Youth Leader is expected to appear before the Committee on Thursday June 2, 2016, at PDP Secretariat, Abakaliki.
