The Vanguard reports that
the NIC president, Justice BabatundeAdejumo , has stopped the Labour unions
from embarking on the strike action pending the outcome of the suit filed by
the Federal Government.
Efforts by the Federal
government to dissuade the labour unions from embarking on the Strike action have
been fruitless, but however, still determined to stop the strike action, the
Attorney general of the Federation had no option than to approach the NIC,
begging to restrain the Labour Unions from further actions.
Subsequently Justice
Adejumo has ordered all the parties to maintain status quo until legal dispute
is settled.
The restraining order
will elapse after seven days.
