Ronaldo, Messi, Zidane set to storm Abuja



 Current World Footballer of the Year, Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelena talisman Lionel Messi, Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane, among others are a set to play an international novelty football match.

 The novelty match which is to be played in Abuja will be between the African football stars and the rest of the world and is aimed at campaigning against trafficking, insurgency and terrorism.

According to the Chairman of Next2None supportive initiative who are organizers of the football match, Barr Ndukwe Sam Obu, the organisation decided to use football for its campaign because it speaks the language of love, peace, hope and unity. He further disclosed that other football icons like Diego Maradona of Argentina, Ruud Gulit, former African and World footballer of the year, George Oppong Weah, Thierry Henri, former African footballer of the year, Nwankwo Kanu and former Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay Jay Okocha amongst others have confirmed their arrival for the match.

He described terrorism and human trafficking as twin evils that require the support of every well meaning individual and organization to ensure that it brought to a halt.
Addressing the media in Abuja over the weekend, chairman of Next2None Support initiative, Barr. Also speaking at the briefing, Nze Elvis Agukwe, the international coordinator of the project said the proceeds from the novelty match would be given to the victims of human trafficking and insurgency.
