In his speech, Dr. Ugheoku lamented on the unyielding results of previously held dialogues with the Federal government and insists that starting off with the Warning strike will buttress their seriousness to the Federal government.
It will be recalled that ASUU in a recent conference had stated that upto N124bn is been owed lecturers been accumulated academic allowances from 2013 to 2016 academic years, not to mention other arrears upto the tune of N495bn.
According to ASUU, all they want is for the Federal government to honour their own side of the agreement and the strike idea will be laid to rest especially in this critical time.
