Unbelievable! Armed robbery on Lagos - Ibadan highway, bandits are suspected to be Fulanis

Recently there has been alot of disturbing news about the fulanis causing troubles and this is one of them.
An armed robbery operation occurred yesterday Sunday on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway by Armed bandits who stopped and over shadowed the victims in the middle of the road with their guns, machetes and knives.

The Bandits were said to have laid ambush and attacked the unsuspecting vehicles.

The daylight attacks took place at two spots before and after the old Ogere toll plaza and they involved the robbers sneaking out of the surrounding bushes to take advantage of the bad portions of the road to rob the victims.

The  spokesman of the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), who confirmed that some of the bandits were indeed Fulani as one of them was eventually killed during an exchange of gunfire with the police.

Also, their accent gave them away in the robbery process as they issued out warnings and instructions to their victims, they were about 20 of them.

A team of armed mobile policemen in a Hilux van with registration number PF 943 SPY that arrived at the scene however cleared the road leading other vehicles and shooting into the air to drive the bandits away which was achieved by pursuing them into the bushes where they had earlier come out from.

The second attempt which was after the old Ogere toll plaza also caught some unfortunate vehicles, while some drivers were able to reverse, other passengers who could escape from them did so, it was in this second attempt that the police got  into a gun battle and claimed to have killed one of the suspects.
