Fire Guts Two storey building in Abakaliki

Fire gutted a two storey building at No 5 Nwike street Abakaliki belonging to Chief John Emegha.
The incident which emanated from a candle light left in the apartment occupied a man popularly known as pastor.
Although no lives was lost to the fire disaster.
Eye witness account stated that when the ebonyi state management agency was contacted and informed, the reacted swiftly to the distress call. On their arrival, the chiarman of SEMA Evangelist Ephraim Ononye reached out to the state fire service for assistance but was told that their vehicles where grounded. The response angered the volunteers who threated to burn down the service station but were persuaded otherwise.
It took conserted efforts by well spirites individuals especially Water Tanker Operators to put the fire under control and prevent its spread to other parts of the building.
The Owner of the building Chief John Emegha who is a retired civil servants pleaded with the State Government and Good spirited Nigerians to come to his assistance.
