The Fire Service Station in Abakaliki has been unable to respond to Fire disasters for quite sometime due to the bad state of their vehicles and other equipment. Recall that, two weeks ago, we brought you a report about a fire disaster that took place at Nwike street where water tanker operators had to assist in putting out the fire that was razing a two story building.
The Chairman, Ebonyi State Emergency Management SEMA, Evangelist Ephraim Ononye, made this known in an interview with EBBC. He stated that the Governor released the funds to ensure that the fire service station becomes functional once again.
