Beautiful Igbo Community built in the United States of America (Photos)

Back in the day, we used to recite a poem and it goes thus "North, East, South or West home is best. In an effort to create this ‘home away from home’ atmosphere, an igbo community was built in Virginia, USA.



The idea/concept was initiated by J. Akuma-Kalu Njoku, Ph.D., a diligent and soft-spoken man, Prof Njoku is a Professor of Folklore Studies and Anthropology. The design of the village is largely based on the historical foundations and sites of the Arochukwu/Ohafia/Bende region of the Igbo nation.
