Health workers Protest in Ebonyi State(Photos)

Health workers in the city of abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital.  carried out a protest march arround the city today.

Information reaching Ebonyigist say that the protest is as a result of some alleged sharp practices said to have taken place in the Ministry of Health.

Some of the placards had inscriptions which read, 'say no to marginalization and discrimination of workers', 'pay all outstanding bonuses and salaries', 'promotion should be on merit' and lots of other disgruntled placards.

According to some of the protesting workers, the issue has been going on for a long time and the protest was their way of getting the attention of the State Governor of their plight. They called on the Governor of Ebonyi State been going on in the ministry and the attention of the governor has been called upon to intervene and put a stop to all the misconducts and misappropriation of funds going on in the ministry.
