A Brazilian woman whose identity was not disclosed, has sued a man she paid to assassinate her for "not getting the job done".
The unnamed woman said her consumer rights had been breached when the hitman disappeared without killing her even after she had paid the required advance.
The woman who is reported to be suffering from chronic anxiety-depressive disorder is said to have attempted to kill herself on multiple occasions without success.
She told a court that the assassin disappeared after getting an advance payment without “delivering the service”.
MailOnline reports that she told a judge in Taquatinga, near the capital Brasilia, that her “consumer rights” had been breached,
The Court ruling however, was not in her favor as the court stated that the agreement was not legally binding as it was not signed at a public notary.
The judge added that the signing over of her car to the alleged assassin does not prove he was paid to kill her.
He also said that the agreement was invalid because what was being paid for was already unlawful.
