The new commisioner of Police Mr Sumba Lamorde succeeds Mrs Peace Ibekwe Abdullah who has been transferred out of the state.
Mr Lamorde was promoted to the rank of commissioner of police on the 20th February 2015 and posted to CP Department of Information and Communications Technology, ICT Force headquarters Abuja where he served until his posting to Ebonyi state police command.
He is professionally and academically sound with specialization in criminal Investigation and intelligence and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political science, LLB and BL degrees in law.
Mr Lamorde has attended several professional courses both locally and internationally, including senior executive course at National Defence College Abuja where he was awarded the prestigious fellow of Defence College (FDC).
he has served in various sensitive positions before his promotion as commissioner of police such as area commander Airport, Ikeja Lagos, deputy commissioner Administration zone 7 of force headquarters Abuja and second in command in both Plateau and Delta states police command.
